DVD Cover Finished...

this is what our group have decided to use as our band's DVD cover. We decided to finish the DVD cover before attempting to finish the magzine article as in order for the magazine article to promote the release of the DVD we will need a picture of the cover so that people will know what to look for. Article Ideas

This is an exanple of an article feautring a new band from the Kerrang! magazine...

I feel that due to our band's type of music and appearance, Kerrang would be the most suitable choice for our band to be advertised in. Obviously we will not actually be using the proper pictures of the real band in the magazine as we feel that the only picture we could find of the band is not a suitable picture to advertise them. And also the real band are not going to be featured in our video so we will get a picture of the band that feature within our video and then go from there...

Filming and editing finished

we have now finally finished filming the shots that we feel we needed to include in our video, and we have now also finished editing our film enough, for a first draft anyway. we have next week in order to check over and re-do anything that we feel could have been better and that we have enough time to carry out. Other than that we have now started researching which type of music magazine that our band would fit into.

We have decided that due to the look of our band, we feel that the most suitable magazine for our band to be advertised in would be Kerrang!

our timeline of our storyboard

this is our groups timeline of how we feel that our music video is going to be filmed and edited. we think that this is the best way to do our video, by planning out what we want to be filmed when and where within our video, so when we come to editing the video we know what we are looking for from that particular bit of the song.

for some reason our images on our storyboard do not seem to load up when we upload our storybaord to our blogs, but we have described the scene's in what we think is enough detail to make it easy for the reader to make sense of it.

Because we were going to do a website but found that hosting it would be extremely difficult we decided to scrap that idea and create a DVD cover for the band. We have created a template for what we will like our DVD cover to look like. I believe that our cover will look pretty good and will advertise the band, in the way that we feel depicts our music video and the way we feel that we want the band to be represented through our video. website plan

this is the template that our group have created for our website for the band. The website is going to be our groups ancilliary task for our portfolio. We think that by having a relatively simple and easy to use website, it will be easy for the fans of the band to navigate around and find out information about the band that they may want to know.

SCRAP THAT!

we were going to do a website but have found that hosting a website so that people outside of the school could see our blog would be extremely difficult for our group to do. Because of this we have decided to revert back to our first idea of creating a cover for the bands DVD release. We think that this can be just as effective as the website would have been shoudl we have created that. we are now in the process of designing the DVD cover...
